Three internationally respected soloists come together for the intimate format of a chamber-music recital: Martin Fr\u00f6st from Sweden, Frenchman Antoine Tamestit, and the Israeli Shai Wosner, who lives in the USA.<\/p>\n
Known for pushing musical boundaries, clarinettist and Sony Classical recording artist Martin Fr\u00f6st has been described by The New York Times as having \u200b\u201ca virtuosity and a musicianship unsurpassed by any clarinettist \u2013 \u2009perhaps any instrumentalist \u2013 in my memory.\u201d Winner of the 2014 L\u00e9onie Sonning Music Prize, one of the world\u2019s highest musical honours, Fr\u00f6st was the first clarinettist to be given the award and joined a prestigious list of previous recipients, including Igor Stravinsky and Sir Simon Rattle.<\/p>\n
Violist Antoine Tamestit is internationally recognized as a leading soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician beloved for his unsurpassed technique and the much-vaunted beauty of his richly coloured tone. His broad repertoire ranges from Baroque to the present, and his strong commitment to contemporary music is reflected in numerous premieres of new works.<\/p>\n
Pianist Shai Wosner has attracted international recognition for his exceptional artistry, musical integrity, and creative insight. His performances of a broad range of repertoire \u2013 from Beethoven and Schubert to Ligeti and the music of today \u2013 reflect a degree of virtuosity and intellectual curiosity that has made him a favorite among audiences and critics, who note his \u201ckeen musical mind and deep musical soul.\u201d (NPR)<\/p>\n
