DESCRIPTION:The Orpheus Choir of Toronto kicks off its highly anticipated 60th season\, celebrating youth\, vitality\, and transformation. Featuring works composed by musicians at the outset of their careers as well as pieces centred on childhood\, this program includes standards by WA Mozart and Gabriel Faure with newer works by contemporary composers such as Katerina Gimon\, George Chung\, Stephanie Martin\, Veljo Tormis\, Budi Susanto Yohanes and more. \nCapping off the program is the lush and evocative Fern Hill by acclaimed composer John Corigliano. We are thrilled to collaborate with the fantastic Young Voices Toronto during this performance\, a testament to our shared passion for music as we envision the future of what Orpheus has to offer.
