DESCRIPTION:Following his arresting production of Handel’s Imeneo\, renowned director Tim Albery returns to direct the Canadian premiere of Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park. Based on the novel by Jane Austen in which the young Fanny Price is sent from her impoverished home to live at Mansfield Park\, the country estate of her wealthy uncle\, where her problems become increasingly complicated. This new production is designed by Michelle Tracey with lighting by Jason Hand. Sandra Horst conducts. \nOpera Talk\, a pre-performance lecture\, will be given half an hour prior to performances of Mansfield Park in Room 130\, 80 Queen’s Park. \nAll MacMillan Theatre productions are given with surtitles.
