SUMMARY:North Wind Concerts | Sopratutto Vivaldi!
DESCRIPTION:A program of glittering and fiery chamber concertos and trio sonatas for oboe\, violin\, recorder/traverso\, bassoon and harpsichord\, with a focus on Antonio Vivaldi – plus a taste of some music from his northern European neighbours G. P. Telemann and J.C. Fasch. \nItalian harpsichordist Stefano Demicheli joins Marco Cera (oboe)\, Alison Melville (recorder\, traverso)\, Cristina Zacharias (violin) and Dominic Teresi (bassoon) for this frolic through a sunny musical landscape. We had so much fun playing some of this music for Tafelmusik’s Recorder Romp last year that we decided we just HAD to play some more. \nSupported in part by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura of Toronto\, to whom we say ‘Grazie mille!’ \nTickets\, here.
