TSO Conductor Laureate Sir Andrew Davis leads a hearty and varied program, anchored by Bruch’s beloved Violin Concerto No. 1, featuring violinist Ray Chen as soloist, and Sibelius’s towering Symphony No. 5. It also offers a sparkling fairy-tale overture by Mendelssohn. (Pictured: Ray Chen, violin)
The running time of the performances on April 5 and April 8 is approximately two hours including a 20-minute intermission. The performance on April 7 will not feature the Stenhammer piece, nor an intermission, and will have a running time of approximately 90 minutes.
