THE SCOOP | medici.tv Expands Jazz As Next Step For Classical Music Channel

Ella_Fitzgerald

It’s the start of something new for the premiere classical music channel medici.tv.

Medici.tv has launched an expanded on-demand video section for jazz, with new content being added daily.

“Music is a world in itself…” said Hervé Boissière, medici.tv’s Founder & CEO. “Jazz is fundamental in the evolution of all music and it was only natural that medici.tv, being a window into music history, included jazz in its repertoire […] In that sense, jazz is part of the same musical journey as classical music.”

The new channel includes Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, Ella Fitzgerald, and Ron Carterin, all in HD quality sound and video. Other concerts include historic shows from Vienne, Malta, Paris, Antibes, Basel, Bruxelles, and Nice.

Up-and-comers

While it’s a legacy-heavy business, medici.tv’s is also investing in the future rising jazz stars with showcases on trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire, vocalist China Moses and bass prodigy Kinga Głyk.
