Canadian violinist Lara St. John will be inducted to London, Ontario’s Forest City London Music Hall of Fame (FCLMA).
Now based in New York City, St. John was born in London, Ontario. She received her early music training in London as a young violin virtuoso before moving to Philadelphia to attend the Curtis Institute of Music.
Other inductees include Canada’s singing Cowboy, Earl Heywood, R&B band Johnny Stevens and the Canadians, and the rock band, B.W. Pawley and Plum Loco.
The Forest City London Music Awards recognizes outstanding contributions to the music business, education, and community.
Greg Simpson, who spent five decades in the radio business, will also be honoured for lifetime achievement during London Music Week, which runs from June 6 to 13. Simpson died last June from a stroke.
The virtual ceremony will be livestreamed on Facebook, June 8 at 8 p.m.
