La Passion selon Saint-Marc de Jean-S\u00e9bastien Bach a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e pour la premi\u00e8re fois le Vendredi saint 1731 \u00e0 Leipzig. Bien que la musique originale ait \u00e9t\u00e9 perdue, le livret d\u2019utilis\u00e9 par Bach en 1744 n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 retrouv\u00e9 qu\u2019en 2009. Le ch\u0153ur de St. Andrew and St. Paul est heureux de pr\u00e9senter la premi\u00e8re canadienne de la reconstruction de cette Passion r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par le musicologue Robert Koolstra utilisant le livret original et la musique de Bach lui-m\u00eame pour compl\u00e9ter l\u2019\u0153uvre. First performed on Good Friday, 1731 in Leipzig, the music of J.S. Bach\u2019s St. Mark Passion is now lost, and only the libretto still exists. The choir of St. Andrew and St. Paul is thrilled to present the Canadian premi\u00e8re of Robert Koolstra\u2019s reconstruction of the St. Mark Passion setting based on the 1744 libretto re-discovered only in 2009, reusing Bach\u2019s own music to complete the work.
