Meanwhile, in the classical realm, 4 out of 5 nominees for best contemporary composition were women. They include Andrea Casarrubios for her album \u201cSeven for Solo Cello,\u201d Valerie Coleman for \u201cRevelry,\u201d David Lang for \u201cComposition as Explanation,\u201d Gabriela Ortiz for \u201cRevoluci\u00f2n Diamantina,\u201d and Kaija Saariaho for \u201cAdriana Mater.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tell me more:<\/strong> Other news in the classical realm included Metropolitan Opera maestro Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin racking up 3 nominations for leading Maestro Soundtrack and the Met\u2019s recordings of The Hours and Florenc\u00eda en el Amazonas.
