Many of the instances explored are also featured in the Netflix movie starring Bradley Cooper, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/title\/81171868\">Maestro<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/w9rvceUsDnA?si=GH7WuSNn7NpkKLJe\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Digging deeper:<\/strong> Many music critics criticized Bradley Cooper\u2019s film for leaving out important details regarding Bernstein\u2019s contributions to classical music. These included his introduction of the public to the works of Gustav Mahler, as well as his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=U6JsfDIo4TA\">Young Peoples\u2019 Concerts<\/a>. Cohen\u2019s podcast includes interviews with Bernstein\u2019s daughter, Jamie Bernstein, who discusses the impact of these programs, among other things.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bottom line:<\/strong> While the classical music community appreciates a bit of glamour and attention from Hollywood, it\u2019s still nice to have a nuanced podcaster or filmmaker tell the whole story.
